Never Worn Out of Fashion

Safe to say the Thom Browne men's show in Paris was an exciting and extravagant event.  We arrived on the outskirts of Paris to find ourselves at a very large, evacuated arena.  Warned by the driver that we were in a "sketchy" neighborhood, we began to feel a little uneasy and unsure of exactly what was coming.  But once the lights inside went down and the music began, our spirits lifted.  It was the best men's show that we saw.  The collection (full of grey as expected) was also full of plaid, checks, and fur.  Each outfit was shown in threes - a worn out version complete with rips, threads, and holes; an in between version that was showing signs of wear and tear; and a pristine version that practically glistened with precision.  The interesting thing about them though is that the most  ragged looks were as emaculately tailored and just as easily wearable for the guy who likes a more "lived in" look.  David was blown away and completely beside himself by the entire spectacle.  It was a night to remember, and we safely made it out and back to our part of town to dream about for the rest of the trip.  Cheers to Mr. Browne for another beautiful visual (and wearable) season.
